Born on the West Coast, living on the East Coast, I find inspiration everywhere.
My art is infused with brushstrokes of the rich experiences and many places I have lived and travelled through my life. Growing up on the West Coast, I developed an interest in art. Yet I truly fell in love with the way colors and light bring images to life on canvas when I studied abroad in Europe.
Discovering Impressionism at the Musée d’Orsay was a defining moment for me. I still observe something new each time I look at Dancers in Blue by Degas.
After a successful corporate career, I took my passion to the next level by enrolling in several art courses while living in London with my husband. We settled in the U.S. on the East Coast, where I became captivated by the works of American artists, like the Wyeth family. One of my favorites is NC Wyeth’s painting, Dusty Bottle, as it beautifully captures lights and darks to illuminate the dust on the bottle. I am also inspired by more current movements like abstract realism.
I earned my Associate of Fine Arts in Studio Arts and enjoy painting animals, sceneries, abstracts, and simple objects for purchase or by commission. My love of art and creation comes together in a meaningful way when I collaborate with people to fill their homes, offices, and businesses with art they love.
