The beginning…

This is where I am starting, it might not be an actual beginning but it is the beginning of my choosing to share about all things art and career here on my website. I am so happy that you have joined me here. What is happening now? I am looking forward to the beginning of the school year where I have more structure to my day and definitely am able to get a lot more painting done. I have three teenage kids and everyday is something different during the summer. I maybe driving to a soccer field, to an amusement park, to a golf course, to some horsey thing (my daughter rides, more on that later) or just sending way too much money over Apple Pay!

So what have I been doing during the summer? I am working my way through a second big group of paintings for the White Dog Cafe Chester Springs, hopefully to be finished and installed early this fall. In addition I am working my way through my commission list. Some beautiful pieces on the horizon, trail riding horses, silly cavapoos and regal cavaliers. I am so grateful for everyone who reaches out for a commission. While some artists despise commissions because they feel it cramps their creativity, I love it. I love the human connection, I love the feeling of handing over a painting to someone that has deep meaning, I love the look on their faces when they see their favorite pet staring back at them from the canvas. This is also why the White Dog Cafe project has been so fun, because each and every painting for the restaurant is a commission.

My commission list is open and queuing up quickly for the rest of the year. If you want a special holiday gift don’t wait to reach out to me. There is no time better than the present.
